Know Before You Go

• Climate
  Jamaica has a warm tropical climate with an average high temperature of 92F. Days are sunny with an occasional thunderstorm.
• Currency
  Jamaica's currency is the Jamaican dollar, although U.S. currency is often accepted.  For the current exchange rate, click here.
• Passport Requirements
  All U.S. citizens need a current passport to travel to Jamaica.  For more information, visit the State Department Passport page.
• Water
  The water is safe to drink in Jamaica. Bottled mountain spring water is also sold in Jamaica.
• Medical Assistance
  Medical facilities are located in all of our destinations.  Check your travel documents or call us  for more information.
• Transportation
  Taxi is the best form of transportation around town. Look for red license plates, which indicates an officially licensed taxi.
